JANUARY 2026:
Happy new year. Let's hope it rings the changes we need and want to see. It may be slightly more difficult for everybody to be entirely optimistic - these are trying times for most, but let's try to keep a sense of perspective, in order to steady the course we are navigating. Breathe deep, celebrate the small wins, and remember that everything - the bad as well as the good - everything shall pass.  So look forward to the good when times are bad, it will come your way, and enjoy the good while it lasts.

AUTUMN NEWS 2025:
I and my DBS certificate are now listed on childcare.co.uk. for babysitting and homehelp services. They still recommend clients undertake whatever level of background check they feel is neccessary, but when DBS certificates are submitted to the platform they are vetted. 

AUGUST 2025:
IndieTemp began in 2017. It was not a flash in the pan, despite how brief the activity on my social media accounts may appear. It was a carefully considered start-up that led to a neccessarily limited number of assignments for a few satisfied clients, then ultimately (and very quickly) a pretty much full time administrative position.
Fast-forward 8 years and after a spell as a carer for an elder relative, IndieTemp is back with the original mission: to offer a service as an Independent Temporary Worker, who can slot in to help local businesses and busy people when they need an extra pair of hands.
Though this time around - IndieTemp 2.0 - I have even more experience.

What's happening? REGROWTH.
